Anytime a picture showing waves oscillating in a different manner in different location pops up, for what reasons I know not, but I will feel energized. If a circle is the most perfect geometry, sinusoids are absolutely the most beautiful functions in the world. Think about this picture, close to the origin, the waves are stationary. The waves just go up and down but are virtually not moving. Far away from the origin, however, the waves are travelling crazily. The whole picture is just so dynamic! It is like some music that can't be heard by ears, but can only be thought about in your head. You can visualize it of course, but it is not as touching.

Now, if we have 4 charges placed at the 4 corners of a square, rotate it at a certain speed. What will be the radiation like? Hard to imagine? EM is really so wonderful.

Should the fact that c = w/k be trivial by now? Not so sure. The wavelength can be very long, but the up and down oscillation can be very fast. The fact that there are universal relations between the rate of ups and downs and the wavelength is just, accidental. How can I take something this fundamental for granted?
