If there can be a plate, say of 1cm thick, that when you look through it, are going to see a change in colour, in the object you're watching, progressively, from a single colour (red or violet) to all colours, does that sound fascinating?
It is very moliu, but I kind of want to know if it is possible.. The wave speed of the visible spectrum may vary by 10 times at most, but I don't think the change is dramatic and slow enough that our poor eyes can sense it.. Movies are pictured in 12 frames per second, right?
But I was told, there is an effect known as localization.. and there are something known as photonic crystals.. and something known as meta-material.. Maybe it is really feasible..
