The truth is, every so-called meaningful thing you do in this world is not exactly that meaningful. Life is not meaningless, but it is wrong to suggest that there are universally meaningful acts. Anytime when you are not against your internal peace, you can probably gain something valuable to you, and to you only. You got to determine the meanings yourselves, by really dedicating yourselves to some sort of business, feel it by heart, and do it with passion. By discovering what you value, you will discover what you contempt, and then it will be as easy as taking a breath to stay away from those absolutely meaningless matter, without fear of being marginalized by someone who you absolutely have no feeling about. Life is short, why shorten it further by always doing things against your own wish, just to make a living? I mean, when you are not very conscious about what you do, you are not alive, and the time is wasted, and you will end up regreting what you haven't done when you take the last breath. It should be everyone's dream to pass away happily. We are all waiting for that precious little moment. The time it takes should never be a concern, it is how you do the waiting that you really have to ponder.
Well, how strange, why do I suddenly write about these stuff again when I am happily studying electromagnetism? I've to say, I am not very conscious a few moment ago.
