Seems that I am starting to feel more comfortable. But, the students are still not very attentive. Maybe they are really listening, I don't know, they simply have no questions to ask in class. The atmosphere is all too silent. Maybe I am not "funny" or "friendly" enough.
I am now using a tactic that I will speak Cantonese here and there to ease the atmosphere. I think it works somehow. But I really want myself to be more approachable.
Anyway, they will ask me questions afterwards, only not in class.

my class is a little better in terms of interaction during tutorial
one of the reasons maybe there is a quiz at the end of the lesson, so they just want me to finish earlier and start the quiz..
I am not sure if its my problem that they always cant follow me. Though I know that I talk very little when I do the example because they are just math, I just don't know what to explain when I do the calculation on the board.
I feel the same.. every time, I say "direct differentiation / integration", it is actually quite boring to do so..
I always fail to finish what i've prepared to say...they always get stucked in those easy examples(really very simple integration), and I can never have time to go into some more advance stuffs
I usually will just directly go to the answers and put in some numbers and discuss those limiting cases.. I skip so many steps that I can always finish what I prepare.. hehe..
